Intumescent Paint Application Considerations | Nullifire | Permax | An intumescent coating is defined as a coating system which can be applied to steel or timber for the purposes of increasing its resistance to heat stress during a fire. By acting as a fire retardant and an insulator it works to passively preserve the structure for as long as possible allowing fire crews to combat the flames and occupants to get out safely. When we talk about intumescents at Permax we refer to thin-film intumescents – a paint like coating which will swell to several times its original size in the case of fire. A thin film intumescent coating system is usually composed of a primer, intumescent coating, and the topcoat. |

What Remdial Building Services offer | What we Do | By law, owners of a building are required to ensure all occupants within the building are safe, thus, keeping your AFSS up to date is essential. However, The BCA is constantly upgraded, meaning over a period of time, most, if not all buildings will be served with a council fire upgrade notice, which will identify the current standards which your building fails to comply with. |

What Remdial Building Services offer | Heritage Building Upgrades | In our 45 years of structural rectification, we have worked with engineers, government departments and trusts on some of NSW’s and Australia’s most iconic buildings. Known for their architectural and design significance for an era gone-by, these buildings required a specialised approach which rectifies latent issues, yet which does not jeopardise architectural aspects of the building. |
