Nuno Felted Melted Pixie Woodland Nymph Forest Fairy by frixiegirl | This belt has been wet hand felted using the melted technique and has wonderful green vines/roots coming down all the way around it with green defined leaves sewn to the belt band and vines. The leaves I have hand felted with tussah silk into the wool, cut out and sewn veins into and the vines are twisted together. I have hand dyed the gorgeous silk chiffon material and belt myself the colour ranging from mocha do deeper browns. The silk chiffon pointed material pieces coming down have been nuno wet felted into the band and i have sewn along the edges of the silk to give it a beautiful curly wavy and neatened effect. There are 3 layers to this belt 2 of silk and the top layer being the vines and leaves. The belt closes with a beautiful large natural wooden button and I have hand stitched around the button hole for extra strength and support. This belt requires a 10 stage process from beginning to end and takes a long time to come to life and finish. This belt has a current hip measurement between 91 cm (35.5 inches) up to a maximum of 97 cm (38 inches) and can all be made smaller for it overlaps, please let me know in a message upon purchase of the item if you would like the button moved to suit your size.
